JUNIOR & ADULT INSTRUCTION


Darren Kindred

Darren Kindred, Director of Tennis
USPTR and USPTA certified, Darren has been a teaching professional since1990. He is a graduate of the A.A.S. Tennis Technology Program at Tyler Junior College in Texas. In 2006 and 2007, he served on Prince’s Presidential Pro Council. In addition to his position at BCRC, Darren has served since 2005 as the Director of Tennis for OPAF (Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund). He travels internationally to conduct adaptive tennis clinics for the organization. Darren was instrumental in OPAF being honored this year with the USTA National Award for Community Service in Adaptive Tennis. Darren has taught at BCRC since 1999 and has held the position of Tennis Director since 2003.

Todd DlugoszTodd Dlugosz - USPTR Certified
Director of Adult & Jr. League Development

Todd has taught professionally since 1995 in the Tri-State area. He played college tennis at Kutztown University and served as Junior Supervisor for the Nick Bolletteiri Tennis Academy. In 2004 and 2005, Todd won the A Level Volley for SERV doubles tournament along with partner David Mercier. He has coached multiple BCRC Adult USTA teams to Districts as well as BCRC’s Junior USTA teams to Sectionals in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007. Todd joined BCRC in 1999 and has held the position of Junior Director since 2002 and Junior Summer Camp Director since 2003.

 

David Mercier David Mercier - USPTA Certified
David has been teaching at BCRC since 2003. He is a certified Instructor I and II by the Quebec Tennis Federation. He is the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Cryan Tournament Doubles Champion with partner German Dalmagro. He was ranked #23 in NCAA doubles Division 1 (2002). David was was the Canadian Doubles Champion in 1997 (18 & under) and all Conference singles and doubles from 1999-2002 as a member of the University of Utah.

 

Kyle Devlin Kyle Devlin – USPTA Certified
10 & Under Program Manager

Kyle Devlin has been our 10 and Under Program Manager since the Summer of 2009 and has built this program from the love he has for children and the sport of tennis. Kyle started playing tennis at an early age and was nationally ranked as a junior as well as highly ranked in the Middle States section of the USTA. With his experience as a highly ranked player as a junior, Kyle understands the importance of enjoying this sport from the beginning. Kyle is fully behind the growth of youth tennis and helping kids to learn a sport that they can play for the rest of their life. After junior competition Kyle played for Mercer County Community College in which he became Regional Champion in both singles and doubles in 2006 and 2007. In 2006 he became an NJCAA National Champion and was named to a first team position on the All-American Team. Kyle is also a certified instructor for the OPAF (Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund) organization and travels nationwide to run tennis clinics for amputees and other individuals with physical disabilities. Kyle has assisted in on court presentations at national tennis conferences for the USTA, USPTA, and also other local clinics for Prince Sports. At the end of his day, Kyle enjoys time with his wife Diane and daughter Kyla.

Marty DevlinMarty Devlin
At the age of 36, Marty began playing tennis and became #1 in the nation (USTA 45 and over division) and #10 in the world. He’s also won 3 National Championships on 3 different surfaces. Marty is in the Rider University Athletic Hall of Fame and more recently was inducted in the Middle States Hall of Fame. Marty teaches at the club in the winter months and off-site in the summer and late-Spring months. BCRC is proud to have such a legendary, local tennis icon as Marty associated with our club.

SENIOR TEACHING PROFESSIONALS

Rick Horn Ronald “Rick” T. Horn
A well-liked local teaching professional, Rick joined BCRC October 2005. Rick has played competitive tennis since college. When attending Brookdale Junior College his team went to Nationals in 1987 and 1988; the team finished 12th in the country in 1988. He also played for Trenton State College from 1989-1990. Rick has been an Assistant Coach and Head Coach to 4 USTA teams that went to Nationals at the 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 level as well as Head Coach to many teams that have made it to the District and Sectional levels.

  

 

Shana Morris Shana E. Morris - USPTR Certified
Shana has taught Adult and Junior classes at BCRC since 2002. While a Health & PE Major at Stroudsburg, Shana played #1 Singles and #1 Doubles for the Women's Tennis team. In 2005, Shana and tennis partner Angela Dipastina won the prestigious Volley for Serv Women's "A" Doubles Division tournament held annually in Cherry Hill, NJ. She was also the #1 Singles player for Council Rock High School. Shana continues to play competitively at the 4.5 and 4.0 USTA level locally. She is certified with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and resides in Bucks County.

 

Marc Petchel Marc Petchel
Marc has taught tennis locally since 1985. He’s taught at Mercer County Community College Summer Tennis Camp since 1987 and is currently the Director. Mark also holds the title of Co-Director of the Hillsborough Recreation Adult and Youth Summer Tennis camps. Mark has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and is a 4th grade teacher at the Lore School in Ewing, NJ . He’s the proud father of two beautiful beautiful twin daughters, Darby and Jordan.

 

Maggie Coe Maggie Coe
Maggie has worked at BCRC since 1999. Maggie runs her own company full-time but enjoys the opportunity to work with players of all ages and abilities on the weekends at Bucks. Prior to BCRC, she taught at Green Valley Racquet club and coached high school boy’s tennis. Under her guidance, the boys team had several undefeated seasons allowing them to go to state championships. Maggie is also an experienced player who has gone on to play at two National USTA championship tournaments.

 

Lindsay Gebeau Lindsay Gebeau
Lindsay was a top singles and doubles tennis player at East Stroudsburg University, where she also graduated with a Health and Physical Education degree. More recently, Lindsay taught Juniors and Adults for the Bucks County Tennis Association (BCTA) and for the past 7 years the Moravian College Tennis Camp. Currently, she is the Girl’s Head Varsity Coach for Pennsbury High School. In 2008, she received the prestigious Suburban One League Tennis Coach of the Year award from The Bucks County Courier Times.

 

Sean Gallagher Sean Gallagher - PTR Certified
Sean brings many years of coaching and teaching experience to BCRC. As a licensed coach and instructor, he has managed over 40 recreational youth athletic teams and clubs while also engaging in league management and other administrative activities. In addition to tennis, Sean has also coached and taught soccer, baseball, basketball and softball and has worked with such organizations such as the YMCA, PAL, AAU, CYO, Little League, Hamilton Township Recreational Soccer and the CRBA.

Sean is also a long time member of the USTA, playing for local teams in NJ and PA since 1993, with experience in district and sectional playoffs.
