Our Pros meet to insure a consistent and thorough instructional program is offered for each student of every level. We love tennis, and want to share that passion! We feel our work both on and off court make us one of the finest teaching academies in the area.
Al has been a teaching professional for the past 25 years and currently coaches some of the area's top junior players. For his on-court teaching ability, he has been presented with the Outstanding Teaching Service Award. He also continues to play competitively and is nationally ranked in the top ten in both singles and doubles. In 2010, he won against the former Australian Open winner and Wimbledon runner-up Rosco Tanner. Al was also a National Grass Court Champion in 2000, has 10 National Championship Runner-up awards and 4 Third place National Championship awards to his credit, and was named the USPTA Middle States "Player of the Year" in 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
Adult & Jr. League development director
Todd has taught tennis professionally since 1995 in the Tri-State area, joining BCRC's staff in 1999. He played college tennis at Kutztown University and served as Junior Supervisor for the Nick Bolletteiri Tennis Academy. In 2004 and 2005, Todd won the A Level Volley for SERV doubles tournament along with his doubles partner David Mercier. He has successfully coached multiple BCRC Adult USTA teams to Districts, as well as BCRC's Junior USTA teams to Sectionals in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007. Todd served as Junior Tennis Director from 2002-2009, and now is the acting Director of Adult and Junior League Development.
Carrie has been a part of BCRC's teaching staff since 2007 and resides in Upper Makefield with her husband and 2 daughters. She gained years of experience playing competitively before she began instructing; in addition to her accomplishments as an avid Teaching Professional, Carrie's on-court success includes being a Junior College National Singles Champion and Division II College Standout. She has also won numerous Singles and Doubles Championships at Trenton Country Club and at the 4.5 Tournament level. Carrie brings her enthusiasm to all her Adult & Junior classes, where she instills a love for the game of tennis through a combination of coaching and skill development.
Kevin has been teaching professionally for 30 years. He has been a Director of Tennis at various clubs in New Jersey and Florida. Kevin enjoys working with USTA Men's and Women's Teams of all levels as well as Junior tournament level players. Kevin resides in Marlton, NJ.
Gerri comes to BCRC with an outstanding player record in her youth. She was ranked in the top 3 in New Jersey and the top 10 in the Middle States as a junior player, and competed in numerous 14 & Under and 16 & Under National tournaments. She also received many Sportsmanship Awards. She had an outstanding record as a varsity tennis player at Mary Washington College going undefeated her freshman year, and later trained at Nick Bollettieri's Tennis Academy with legendary hitting partners such as Andre Agassi and Jim Courier. Whether she's teaching Juniors or Adults, Gerri's outgoing personality is infectious on court as she instills confidence and provides encouragement to all her students.
John is a PTR and 10 & Under certified Tennis Teaching Professional with 30+ years of experience teaching, 15+ years of which as a Head Tennis Professional. He is currently ranked a 4.5 level player and is a formerly ranked singles player in Middle States. He has also worked as a practice partner for junior, adult and senior tournament level players. John possesses excellent drilling skills covering aerobic, situational, game and match play type lessons as well as is an elite developmental coach for disciplines such as classic stroke production, footwork and controlled power hitting just to name a few. Over the years, John has mentored over 50 tennis teaching professionals, coached 60 USTA/Interclub teams, over 200 beginners to an intermediate plus level, developed/trained #1 varsity players at 20 different high schools and has a 90% success rate in helping high school aged players make their team. John is very personable, enjoys working with children and adults at all playing levels.
John DiMartino, Sr.
Jeff is a certified USPTA Level One Tennis Instructor with 25+ years of experience. As a Division I college player at Towson State University, Jeff captured the ECAC Doubles Championship before embarking upon his teaching career. He has been a Tennis Instructor at East Brunswick Racquet Club (East Brunswick, NJ), a Director of Junior Tennis at Pennsbury Racquet and Athletic Club (Morrisville, PA), and a Head Tennis Professional at Nassau Racquet Club (Montgomery, NJ). Jeff has also coached championship-winning boys and girls high school teams at Immaculata High School (Sommerville, NJ), Highland Park High School, Franklin Township High School and Princeton Day School [aka PDS]. He currently is a Senior Staff Professional at Bucks County Racquet Club and is in charge of Team Tennis and is the USTA Liaison.
Michael started teaching tennis 20 years ago. He has also taught at the Princeton Tennis Program and ran the summer tennis camp for the township in Plainsboro, NJ. While in high school he was All-State and All-County in singles. He has won several local tournaments including titles at the Cryan Tennis Tournament in B Singles and Doubles, Marco Mazzoncini B Singles, East Brunswick Racquet Club B Singles Memorial Day Tennis Tournament, and most recently the Stone Age Tournament (played with vintage wooden racquets) in 2017. Michael has also won the 5.5 League and Shoot Out tournament at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, NJ. He is the proud father of his two sons Matthew and Thomas, and husband to his lovely wife Marcela, who is a Registered Nurse.
Gabriela played tennis at a competitive level while attending local the high school Council Rock North, where she won both the Suburban One League Conference and the Jr. Shark Tournament in 2008. She obtained both her B.S. and M.S. degrees from West Chester University in 2013 and 2015, consecutively, and has experience playing Division II and Division III college tennis for both West Chester University and Cabrini College. At Cabrini College, she won the colonial states athletic conference in addition to receiving several conference academic awards. She has previous teaching experience as a tennis pro instructor for Bucks County Tennis Association (a USTA-certified program) and is the current head coach for William Tennent High School. Much of the perspective and experience that Gabriela shares on court today also come from attending the elite IMG and Saddlebrook Academies located in Florida.
